Scholarships & Financial Aid

       

Scholarships can be found through a myriad of different ways:  Local, National, College, Organizations, etc.  There are many scholarship opportunities out there for students to be able to attend their chosen institution. All it takes is the dedication to fill out the applications! We will continue to update this webpage for any scholarship opportunity that we find for our students. 

National Scholarship Search Databases

Rockwall ISD Local Scholarships--NOW OPEN!! (Deadline:  3/23/25)

  • Click HERE to view scholarship information
  • Students must use their Rockwall ISD Google account to access the scholarship applications.
  • Applications must be submitted online by Sunday, March 23, 2025. - late submissions will not be considered.
  • The link to the fillable Rockwall ISD Local Scholarship Application PDF is in Step 1 of the instructions page, where it reads, “Click here to download the fillable PDF of the Rockwall ISD Local Scholarship Application.”
  • Complete the application and save the PDF to your computer file or desktop using this format CAMPUS.LASTNAME.studentID#.pdf, Example: RHS.SMITH.12345.pdf
  • Click the corresponding campus button on the webpage to access the scholarships offered for your campus.
  • Review the requirements for each scholarship you wish to apply for. Several scholarships will require you to upload additional qualifying documents or essays.
  • Apply and upload your completed application and any required qualifying documents to each scholarship you would like to apply for.
  • Your current transcript will be added to your application for you.  
  • Applications must be submitted online by Sunday, March 23, 2025. Remember, late submissions will not be considered.

CTSO Scholarships

Are you part of one of the Burton Academy clubs and organizations? Do you compete in those clubs? There is money for you!

Workforce Company and Organizational Scholarships

Companies and workforce associations also offer scholarships to students as well. Check out some below!

General CTE Scholarships

  • CTENT Scholarship:  available to senior CTE students, who are involved with a CTSO (Deadline:  03/14/25)
  • NPCA Foundation Scholarships:  available to students who plan to pursue a course of study should be in an academic field related to the building, construction or precast concrete industry (Deadline:  3/14/25) 
  • Boom & Bucket's Scholarship Program:  available to students planning on pursuing education in heavy machinery-related programs (Deadline:  3/31/26)  

Agriculture

  • Animal Welfare Institue Scholarship:  available to students who plan to pursue a career that will seek to reduce animal suffering and protect vulnerable species (Deadline:  03/16/25)

  • Microsoft Women Scholarship:    available to female students with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale who plan to enroll full-time in a technology, engineering, math, or computer science-related undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school, in the United States, for the entire upcoming academic year (Deadline:  3/13/25)
  • Shell Oil Company Technical Scholarship:  available to students who plan to enroll full-time in one of the following majors: geology, geophysics, physics, chemical, civil, electrical, geological, geophysical, mechanical or petroleum engineering (Deadline:  03/15/25)   
  • ASME High School Scholarships:  available to students who plan on attending an ABET-accredited mechanical engineering or technology program by the fall after high school (Deadline:  3/15/25)
  • American Society of Mechanical Engineers:   available to seniors interested in pursuing engineering degrees. Students must be enrolled full-time in an ABET- accredited* or substantially equivalent** mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology program, no later than the fall after their senior year in high school (Deadline:  3/15/25)
  • Ben Brock memorial Scholarship:    available to students who plan on majoring in geography, software engineering, or computer science may apply for this scholarship if they’re active military members, veterans, or the family members of military members or veterans (Deadline:  3/29/25)
  • Society of Women Engineers Scholarship:  available to students who identify as a woman and plan to study engineering or computer science full time at the collegiate level in the upcoming academic year (Deadline:  3/31/25)
  • American Nuclear Society Scholarship:  available to students who plan to enroll in a course of study related to nuclear science or nuclear engineering at an accredited university in the United States (Deadline:  4/1/25)

Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics

  • Diversity Scholars Program:  available to high school students of African American; Native American, Alaskan, Hawaiian; or Hispanic/Latino heritage who have an intended or declared major in transportation engineering, planning, or a related field (Deadline:  03/15/25)
  • University of the Aftermarket Foundation Scholarship:  available to students who plan to be a full-time student in one of the following disciplines:  automotive, heavy duty, or collision repair school (Deadline:  3/31/25)

Federal Student Aid (FASFA)

FAFSA is a free application for student grants and scholarships for colleges, technical schools, universities (both private and public). FAFSA typically opens in December of your student's senior year. Please review below some helpful links. Rockwall ISD High Schools typically host Financial Aid Nights. Please look at your high schools website for any details.
