Scholarships & Financial Aid

       

Scholarships can be found through a myriad of different ways:  Local, National, College, Organizations, etc.  There are many scholarship opportunities out there for students to be able to attend their chosen institution. All it takes is the dedication to fill out the applications! We will continue to update this webpage for any scholarship opportunity that we find for our students. 

National Scholarship Search Databases

Rockwall ISD Local Scholarships (Deadline:  1/19/26)

Many local organizations and businesses offer scholarship options to Rockwall ISD graduating seniors.

Things to Remember

  • To help you apply, you can use a "Local Scholarship Application" for most of the applications.

  • Students will download the fillable PDF of the Rockwall ISD Local Scholarship Application and fill it out.
  • Save the PDF to your computer file or desktop using this format.  Campus.last name.student ID.pdf  ie., RHHS.Smith.12345.pdf
  • Click the button below to access the scholarships offered for your campus. You must use your student Rockwall ISD Google account to access the scholarship applications.
  • Review the requirements for each of the scholarships for which you want to apply. Various scholarships will require you to upload additional qualifying documents or essays.
  • Apply and upload your completed application and any required qualifying documents to each of the scholarships for which you would like to apply. 
  • *A copy of your current, unofficial transcript will be attached to each application for you.

Are you part of one of the Burton Academy clubs and organizations? Do you compete in those clubs? There is money for you!

Workforce Company and Organizational Scholarships

Companies and workforce associations also offer scholarships to students as well. Check out some below!

General CTE Scholarships

  • DEWALT Trades Scholarship:  available to students who plan to study one of the eligible trades listed on the website (Deadline 2/28/26)

Agriculture

  • DU National Scholarship:  available to all senior student members with at least a 2.8 GPA ; however, it is targeted to volunteers who have shown an exceptional level of commitment to wetlands conservation through participation in their DU Varsity (high school) club/chapter and/or local DU community chapter (Deadline:  3/6/26)

Business, Marketing, & Finance

  • Accounting Careers National Scholarship- Accounting+ will be awarding 20 students nationally $5,000 in educational funding. The Accounting Careers: Limitless Opportunities Scholarship is open to U.S. high school students between 13-19 years old who have completed at least one Everfi's Accounting Careers: Limitless Opportunities course module. Students must submit a 300-500 word essay for a chance to win (Deadline: 4/30/26)

  • Credit Worthy Scholarship Contest- OneMain Financial will be awarding 82 students nationally with $1,000 in educational funding. The Credit Worthy Scholarship is open to U.S. high school students between 13-19 years old who have completed Everfi's Build: Credit Fundamentals or at least 3 modules of a course offered in the Credit Worthy program presented by OneMain Financial. Students will submit a short essay about what they learned and how the Credit Worthy program by OneMain Financial has made an impact on them for a chance to win (Deadline:  1/6/26 and 4/30/26)

  • Truist Financial Foundations Scholarship Contest- Truist Foundation will be awarding four students $2000 in educational funding. The Truist Financial Foundations Scholarship Contest is open to U.S high school students between 13-19 years old who have completed at least three lessons from Everfi: Financial Literacy - Truist Financial Foundations- in select states (Deadline:  4/30/26)

  • Material Handling Education Foundation Scholarship:  available to students who plan to pursue a material handling, logistics or supply chain career at a qualified college or university in a target program.  Students must be classified as freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior for the Fall 2026 term to be eligible and maintain a "B" grade point average or higher in their major (Deadline:  1/31/26)
  • Society of Manufacturing Engineers Scholarship:   available to students who plan on pursuing an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree in technical fields that directly support manufacturing and who maintain a 2.0 GPA (Deadline:  2/1/26)
  • DataSetGO: Distinguished Data Scientist- Principal Foundation will awarding 10 students within select states $5000 in education funding. The DataSetGO Scholarship is open to U.S. high school students between 13-19 years old who have completed at least one lesson from the course Everfi's Data Science Foundations in select states (Deadline:  4/30/26)

Federal Student Aid (FASFA)

FAFSA is a free application for student grants and scholarships for colleges, technical schools, universities (both private and public). FAFSA typically opens in December of your student's senior year. Please review below some helpful links. Rockwall ISD High Schools typically host Financial Aid Nights. Please look at your high schools website for any details.
