State TSI Exemptions

Exemptions qualify the student from taking the TSIA in either English Language Arts/Reading and/or Math. Exemptions must be sent to the intended post-secondary institution officially in order to qualify. (Example: SAT scores need to be sent via Collegeboard, ACT scores via ACT.org) The Higher Education Institution will then advise the student on college course placement.

TSIA Exemptions:

SAT administered AFTER March 2016 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) minimum score of 480, Mathematics minimum score of 530 (no combined score needed)

ACT score (on or after February 15, 2023) combined English and Reading of 40 or higher,  math a 22 or higher.
